Hello there, I'm Ed Ardiles, and to unpack the story behind this title, we'll have to venture into a lengthy tale. But don't worry, we'll take it bit by bit. This is a new adventure for me, blog writing. Always been on my 'someday' list. Well, today's that day. Let's dive in.

That dashing mid-fifties guy you see? Yeah, that's me. A fellow who's been told he had a "rough paper route." My roots are in Cordoba, Argentina, a land famed for its love of soccer, and a few other delights like Fernet, Asados, and of course, striking mid-fifties guys embarking on their first blog-writing journey.

Soccer was the backdrop of my childhood. I wasn't a star on the field, but boy did I enjoy every moment I played! The sport has a special magic about it. It's a magnet that pulls people together, fostering camaraderie and shared joy. Over here in the USA, soccer has been gathering steam, creating spaces for families and friends to come together. Even my wife, who's not exactly a sports enthusiast, enjoys a good game without worrying about rambunctious crowds.

Now, I understand soccer might not be everyone's cup of tea, and that's okay. But remember, as we love to say, "Nobody likes us and we don't give a damn!" This past season in Chester, PA, we echoed that sentiment time and again. And Alexis, my dear friend, when you say we're "good…not great," just know, we still don't give a damn.

On another note, I have adult ADHD. I share this with you because, well, my storytelling might take a few exciting detours here and there. So buckle up buttercups, and let's ride this wave together!

PART 1: And that was my first jawn (it's what the cool kids say... I am cool)! Hoping it piqued your interest and sparked a bit of excitement. I've got to check in with Ryan, our fearless leader, about the due date for "PART 2". Can hardly wait for the next leg of our journey. Until then, stay tuned!
